<description>I to have the same trouble. It started about 14 years ago when I was at a wedding eating prime rib. It just wouldn't go down. I went in the bathroom and finally threw it up. The doctors also thought that it might be stress related. They gave me some pills to try to relax me but they had the opposite affect. My heart started racing and I thought I was having a heart attack. I stopped that. They sent me to a gastroentologist and I had to swallow some chalky type of liquid and told me to swallow a series of pills while they x-rayed me. They didn't notice anything. They finally determined it to be the dreaded ring. I have had the endoscopy and dilatation on several occasions. Some have lasted a year and the last time I had this done was 4 years ago and I am beginning to have trouble again. I fell the procedure has worked for me. The procedure is not bad because you really don't remember anything after being given some liquid demerol and liquid valium. The big inconvenience is the actual anxiety of not knowing when this is going to happen again.
