I wish iTunes would backup to removable drives eh? I wonder if there’s any virtual dvd writer software that you can get that would fake drive and burn an iso to disc instead of circular plastic?

@kp True, having a single copy of my purchased iTunes media wouldn’t be a backup. Technically what I did was just relocate the material to DVD. I do take semi-regular backups of my system using Super Duper! and an external hard drive. At present (until I need the room on my 40 GB portable drive) I have three copies of the purchased material from iTunes; (1) on DVD, (2) on the Super Duper! backup drive, and (3) on the portable 40 GB drive.

And, BTW, I only purchase poop-proof DVD media.

It’s not really a backup, though, if you don’t keep the originals (or did you, on that half-way machine?). Not aiming for the terminological hairsplitting trophy, but seriously, what if your cat/dog/kid poops on the DVDs?
